ASHORESA announces inaugural golf tournament in Santiago

The Santiago Hotels and Tourism Association (ASHORESA) has announced its inaugural golf tournament, scheduled for September 19, 2026, at the Las Aromas Golf Club in Santiago de los Caballeros. The event is dedicated to Edmundo Aja Fleites, the founder of Hodelpa Hospitality and a prominent figure in the Dominican Republic's hospitality industry.

According to ASHORESA President Lourdes de la Rosa, the tournament aims to strengthen ties between stakeholders in the hotel, gastronomic, and business sectors. The initiative is intended to promote institutional integration and position the city as an attractive destination for business, meeting, and sports tourism.

The tournament will follow a scramble format with players competing in categories A, B, and C. The event will also include an awards ceremony to recognize various contributors and industry figures.
