Ashton Jeanty diagnosed with ankle sprain after Raiders practice injury
Las Vegas Raiders running back Ashton Jeanty has been diagnosed with a sprained ankle following a concerning injury during practice at the Intermountain Health Performance Center in Henderson, Nevada.
The injury occurred during a team workout when Jeanty landed awkwardly while attempting a diving play on a pass from quarterback Kirk Cousins. The incident initially caused significant alarm as Jeanty was unable to put weight on his right leg and required assistance from medical staff to leave the field. During the evaluation, teammates reportedly gathered to take a knee and pray.
Despite the frightening appearance of the injury, reports from Adam Schefter indicate that the injury is not considered a long-term issue. While the Raiders have not provided a specific timetable for his return, the diagnosis has provided relief to the organization.
