Ashton-under-Lyne police arrest two after stabbings and chilli oil assaults
Greater Manchester Police have arrested a 30-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman following reports of stabbings and assaults in Ashton-under-Lyne. The incidents, which occurred on Tuesday, August 18, involved the use of chilli oil as a non-toxic liquid substance during the attacks.
Two men, aged 44 and 50, were hospitalized with injuries consistent with stab wounds, though their injuries are not considered life-threatening. Forensic specialists and detectives examined multiple locations, including Stamford Street, Warrington Street, and Wood Street. The suspects remain in custody for questioning on suspicion of Section 18 assault (grievous bodily harm).
