Ashton Winger wins first feature at Eldora Speedway World 100

Ashton Winger secured the first feature victory of the World 100 opening night at Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio. Following a three-hour rain delay, the event utilized a split-field program where winners of each feature earn $12,000.

Winger, driving for Jeff Mathews Motorsports, overcame a deficit to overtake polesitter Brian Shirley. After several attempts to pass Shirley, Winger successfully executed a slide job in Turn 1 to take the lead. Despite cautions in the latter half of the 25-lap race, Winger maintained his position to claim his first victory at the track. Brian Shirley and Brandon Sheppard finished second and third, respectively.

Brandon Overton was also noted as a winner in the split-field program. The points earned during the Thursday and Friday sessions will determine the starting lineup for Saturday’s $100,000-to-win finale.
