Ashwini Vaishnaw demonstrates Railway Board War Room to Union Ministers

Union Minister for Railways Ashwini Vaishnaw demonstrated the functioning of the Railway Board’s War Room to Union Ministers Kiren Rijiju and Mansukh Mandaviya in New Delhi.

Located at Rail Bhawan, the War Room utilizes AI-based systems, operational data, and live feeds from railway stations across the country to monitor activities. The system provides real-time views of platforms, foot overbridges, and station exteriors, allowing officials to zoom into specific camera feeds to examine locations in detail.

The facility is designed to manage high-footfall periods, such as festivals, by tracking passenger movement and monitoring train delays to facilitate timely interventions. Originally operational in January 2025 to monitor crowds for the Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, the system has since expanded to connect with all major railway stations.
