ASI raises $325 million at $3 billion valuation
Boston-based AI startup ASI, formerly known as Air Space Intelligence, has secured $325 million in a Series C funding round, reaching a $3 billion valuation. The financing was led by Spark Capital, with participation from Citadel Securities, Meritech Capital, Craft Ventures, Energy Impact Partners, and Andreessen Horowitz.
The company develops frontier AI models designed to simulate physical reality and model complex systems such as air traffic, electrical grids, and military operations. ASI provides software that allows operators to predict and orchestrate critical infrastructure in real time to improve efficiency and safety.
ASI currently serves several high-stakes sectors. In aviation, it works with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), United Airlines, and Delta Air Lines to manage airspace and reduce delays. In the defense sector, the company holds a contract with the U.S. Army for command-and-control software. The company also plans to expand its deployments within the energy sector to help grid operators simulate demand surges.
