Asia Fintech Forum 2026 to convene in Kuala Lumpur
The inaugural Asia Fintech Forum 2026 is scheduled for October 2 at the World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur. Organized by the Singapore-based Responsible Fintech Institute (RFI) and title-sponsored by Remi Technology, the summit aims to address themes of artificial intelligence, digital assets, and inclusive banking. The event is expected to host 1,000 delegates and 40 speakers from various regulatory and financial sectors across Asia.
In a related development regarding regional technology adoption, a study by Sabio World involving 14 Malaysian banking institutions revealed that 76% of respondents are currently scaling AI unevenly across enterprise divisions. Only 24% of these institutions reported active, cross-divisional AI scaling programs. The study identified legacy infrastructure, data silos, and a lack of centralized ownership as the primary constraints preventing widespread AI integration in the ASEAN banking sector.
