Asia Life leaders face trial for producing counterfeit dietary supplements

The Dak Lak Provincial People's Court has commenced the trial of eight defendants involved in a large-scale counterfeit food production and tax evasion scheme at Asia Life Joint Stock Company.

According to the indictment, between September 2024 and October 2025, Chairman Nguyen Phong and Director Nguyen Pham Hong Vy directed the production of various counterfeit dietary supplements. The items included 167,963 boxes of Kera gummies, 3,269 boxes of Green Nutrition Organic Kale, 8,000 boxes of Kombutea Slim+, and 2,996 bottles of Mequib Happii Gummies.

The total value of the counterfeit goods is estimated at over 6.2 billion VND, with illegal profits exceeding 3.1 billion VND. Other defendants, including department heads and factory management, were implicated for their roles in research, production, quality control, and falsifying documentation to facilitate the scheme.
