Asia Rugby expands Try Together Program for 2026-2027

Asia Rugby has announced the expansion of its Try Together Program for the 2026-2027 cycle. Supported by Emirates, the initiative aims to grow grassroots rugby and strengthen development pathways across the continent.

The program will fund 28 development projects across ten Member Unions, including Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Jordan, Lebanon, Macau, Nepal, Palestine, Sri Lanka, and Syria. These projects are designed to focus on grassroots participation, women’s and girls’ rugby, domestic competitions, technical workforce development, and national rugby pathways.

This follows an inaugural 2025-2026 cycle that included 27 projects targeting approximately 2,830 participants. Notable activities from the first cycle included an Under-16 Sevens School Rugby Tournament in Bangladesh, national team preparation in Cambodia, and coaching and refereeing courses in Macau.
