Asiago approves 5.4 million euro redevelopment of ex-Caserma Riva
The municipality of Asiago has approved a 5.45 million euro redevelopment project for the historic ex-Caserma Riva building. The initiative aims to transform the 1881 structure into a multi-purpose hub for social, health, and welfare services.
The project includes thirteen protected housing units for the elderly, medical clinics, spaces for local associations, and services for vulnerable populations. The ground floor is planned to house five medical clinics, a waiting room, and technical facilities to support the local nursing home and the wider community.
To fund the works, the municipality has requested a 3 million euro ministerial contribution under cohesion policy resources. The redevelopment will involve architectural restoration, seismic improvements, energy efficiency upgrades, and system modernization. The project has already received a positive opinion from the Soprintendenza di Verona.
