Asiago to permanently fly Sardinian flag to honor WWI fallen

In Asiago, on the Plateau of the Seven Communities, a commemoration was held to honor the Sardinian soldiers of the Sassari Brigade who fell during World War I. The event took place at Monte Zebio, where approximately 50 Sardinian mayors and military personnel gathered to remember 218 fallen soldiers.

To honor this historical connection, the municipality of Asiago has decided to permanently fly the Sardinian flag, featuring the Four Moors, near the fallen soldiers' monument. Additionally, a plaque will be placed to commemorate the authors Emilio Lussu and Mario Rigoni Stern, both of whom wrote significant accounts regarding the conflicts and the plateau.
