Various festivals celebrating Asian culture are taking place across Poland. In Warsaw, the ‘Nasza Japonia’ festival at the Jabłkowski Brothers House features martial arts demonstrations, including samurai sword fighting (chanbara and battodo) by members of the Samurai School and the Warsaw Karate Center. These performances include tameshigiri, the cutting of rice mats with katanas, and tameshiwari, the breaking of boards and concrete with karate strikes.
Additionally, the Asian Festival will be held at the Palace of Culture and Science, featuring demonstrations by students of Tomasz and Michał Piotrkowicz.
In Lublin, the Lublin Fairs are hosting a multi-event gathering including the Asian Festival, Sakura – Japanese Festival, Matcha Festival, and World Sweets Festival. Visitors can experience diverse culinary offerings from Japan, Korea, Vietnam, Thailand, China, and India, including ramen, sushi, and various street foods. The event also highlights matcha products and international desserts.
