Vietnam prepares for ASIAD 20 in Japan

Vietnam is preparing for the ASIAD 20 games held in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, from September 19 to October 4. The Vietnamese sports delegation consists of 498 members, including 348 athletes competing in 33 disciplines. The delegation has set a target of winning between 4 and 6 gold medals.

In football, the U23 Vietnam team has arrived in Nagoya to prepare for their opening match against Kuwait on September 15. The team is working to finalize its roster as some players join later due to club commitments. The women's national football team is also ready for their opening match against Chinese Taipei on September 14, following training sessions in Vietnam and China.

Volleyball player Lê Thanh Thúy and U23 defender Đinh Quang Kiệt have been selected as the flag bearers for the Vietnamese delegation during the opening ceremony. Additionally, concerns have been raised regarding the lack of confirmed broadcasting rights for the games in Vietnam, potentially affecting how fans can watch the national teams' matches.
