Asian Games athletes set multiple records in Nagoya

At the Asian Games in Nagoya, Japan, several athletes set new Games records across multiple track and field events. China’s Su Wen broke a 36-year-old record in the men’s triple jump with a 17.42m effort, surpassing the previous mark of 17.31m set in 1990.

In other notable performances, Iran’s Mohammadreza Tayebise set a new record in the men’s shot put with a 20.81m throw. Bahrain’s Salwa Eid Naser reclaimed the women’s 400m title, breaking her own previous Games record with a time of 49.20 seconds.

In the marathon events, Japan’s Ichitaka Yamashita won the men’s title in 2:10:49, while Bahrain’s Shitaye Habte secured the women’s marathon gold. Additionally, Taiwan’s Fu Chao-hsuan earned a gold medal in the men’s high jump.
