Asian Reinsurance posts $6.7 M profit and gains AM Best rating affirmation
Asian Reinsurance Corporation reported a net profit of $6.7 million for 2025, achieving a combined ratio of 91.4% and premium income of $28.95 million. The insurer’s return on equity reached 8.3% and its solvency ratio stood at 372% under Thailand’s RBC guidelines, indicating strong liquidity and low underwriting leverage.
AM Best affirmed Asian Re’s Financial Strength Rating at B++ (Good) and its Long‑Term Issuer Credit Rating at “bbb” (Good) with a stable outlook. The agency also assigned a Thailand National Scale Rating of aa+ (Superior) TH, also stable. The ratings reflect Asian Re’s robust balance‑sheet strength, solid capital adequacy and consistent operating performance. Since 2018, the company has grown its portfolio at a 13.5% compound annual growth rate, expanding both geographically and across lines of business while maintaining underwriting profitability.
These results underscore Asian Re’s continued focus on diversification, strategic partnerships and disciplined capital management.
