Asian stock markets rise as investors eye Fed decision amid West Asia tensions

Japanese equities recovered on Tuesday, led by artificial‑intelligence stocks that lifted the Nikkei 225 by 0.24%. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index gained 0.63% and Shanghai’s Composite rose 0.53% as lower oil prices eased inflation worries and trimmed expectations for a U.S. Federal Reserve rate hike to about one‑third.

In India, the BSE Sensex opened above 77,450, jumping roughly 700 points, while the NSE Nifty 50 climbed past 24,150 despite fresh U.S.–Iran attacks that pushed oil prices higher. Traders continued to monitor the Fed’s policy decision and the evolving West Asia situation, which together shaped market sentiment across the region.
