Asian Volleyball Confederation explores UAE tournament hosting

The Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) is conducting high-level meetings in the United Arab Emirates to discuss expanding international tournament hosting and strengthening volleyball development. AVC President Ramon Suzara met with UAE Minister of Sports Dr. Ahmed bin Abdullah Humaid Belhoul Al Falasi to evaluate the country’s potential to stage major continental competitions, citing the nation's modern sports infrastructure and international connectivity.

Discussions also involved the Sharjah Sports Council and Sharjah Women’s Sports to explore joint initiatives for both men’s and women’s volleyball programs. These engagements aim to build long-term partnerships that support the growth of the sport across the region and enhance the UAE’s role in the Asian sporting landscape.
