ASIC drops insider trading probe into Richard White
The Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) has concluded its insider trading investigation into WiseTech Global founder Richard White and two other employees, stating it will take no further action against them.
The probe was initiated following reports that White sold over 1.8 million WiseTech shares, valued at more than $200 million, during a company blackout period between December 2024 and February 2025. White previously stated he had obtained legal advice prior to conducting the trades.
While the investigation into White and two other employees has ended, ASIC confirmed that its investigation into one unnamed individual regarding alleged share trading remains ongoing. The regulator noted that the decision to drop the case against White should not be interpreted as a finding regarding his conduct.
