ASICS and DMT release new off-road footwear for trail and gravel

New specialized footwear options have been introduced for off-road athletes, focusing on trail running and gravel cycling.

ASICS has expanded its trail running lineup with five distinct models designed to address different terrain types and durations. Key models include the BLAZEBLAST for transitioning from asphalt, the FUJI LITE 7 for technical speed, the TRABUCO 14 for mountain use, and the TRABUCO MAX 5 for ultra-distance running. Additionally, the METAFUJI TRAIL 2 features an X-shaped carbon plate for competitive performance. The selection criteria for these shoes emphasize terrain unevenness, duration of use, and moisture levels.

DMT has launched the IAAN Gravel shoe, presented at the International Bike Festival in Misano. Designed for fast gravel and mixed terrain, the shoe features a lightweight hexagonal mesh upper, Dimple Tech, and a BOA Li2 closure system. The design aims to balance pedaling efficiency on asphalt with improved grip and walkability on gravel or dirt paths.
