ASICS debuts Rise & Shine collection and SONICBLAST 2

ASICS has unveiled its sunrise-inspired Rise & Shine collection, which features new colorways across eight of the brand’s key running silhouettes. The collection is headlined by the debut of the SONICBLAST 2, a high-performance super trainer designed for lightweight mechanical propulsion.

The SONICBLAST 2 introduces several engineering updates, most notably a redesigned forked ASTROPLATE technology. This revised geometry allows the FF TURBO SQUARED cushioning to extend further through the midsole and into a trampoline pod, aiming to increase propulsion and energy return. The shoe utilizes a dual-foam midsole setup, combining FF TURBO SQUARED for high rebound and FF BLAST MAX for stability and structural integrity.

In addition to the technical upgrades, the new model is lighter than its predecessor, weighing 14g less (based on a men's US size 9). The collection is scheduled for a global launch starting 1 September 2026.
