Pakistan Ordnance Factories: Field Marshal Asim Munir reviews production
Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Defence Forces and Chief of Army Staff, visited the Pakistan Ordnance Factories (POF) in Wah to review the facility’s production capabilities and indigenization efforts.
During the visit, Munir observed tests and trials of locally designed and manufactured arms and ammunition. The visit focused on strengthening Pakistan’s defense industrial base, increasing self-reliance, and exploring export potential for domestic military equipment.
Officials briefed the Field Marshal on the progress of POF’s corporatization process following the enactment of the Defence Industrial Production and Regulatory Authority (DIPRA) Ordinance. Additionally, the military leadership was informed about the installation of two new industrial plants, which are expected to begin production by the end of the current year to expand manufacturing capacity.
