Asim Munir meets Harvard students and discusses Pakistan security

Field Marshal Asim Munir, Pakistan’s Chief of Defence Forces and Chief of Army Staff, met with a delegation of international students from Harvard Business School to discuss regional security and global developments.

During the interaction, Munir emphasized the necessity for youth to utilize fact-based analysis and evidence-based thinking to navigate a volatile world influenced by social media propaganda. He highlighted the importance of education, entrepreneurship, and skill development in enabling young people to contribute meaningfully to society.

The meeting occurred amidst Pakistan’s broader diplomatic efforts to mediate regional stability. This includes Munir’s August 24 visit to Tehran, where he met with Iranian leadership to discuss de-escalation in the Middle East and the potential reopening of the Strait of Hormuz. Additionally, the Pakistani Foreign Office has officially rejected claims that Munir’s visit to Iran was conducted as an envoy for US President Donald Trump, labeling such reports as factually incorrect.
