Asja Cogliandro returns to volleyball with Volley Terracina

Asja Cogliandro is returning to professional volleyball, having signed with Volley Terracina to compete in the women’s Serie B2 national championship. The middle blocker, born in 1996, has an extensive career spanning Serie A1 and Serie A2 with clubs including Filottrano, Roma, Talmassons, Sant’Elia, and Perugia.

Cogliandro’s return follows a highly publicized legal matter in 2025 regarding her pregnancy and her relationship with her former club. That dispute, which was resolved through the Women’s Volleyball League’s Conciliation Chamber, sparked a national debate in Italy concerning the protection of maternity rights for female athletes.
