Asklepios Klinikum Harburg to open new parent and child therapy house

The Hamburg Parent and Child Therapy House is scheduled to open on September 10, 2026, at the Asklepios Klinikum Harburg. Funded by a 13.4 million euro investment from the Hamburg Social Authority, the 3,300-square-meter facility provides a specialized care model for Northern Germany.

The center offers 30 inpatient and 10 day-clinic places designed for parents and children aged 0 to 10 who are experiencing mental illness. By integrating adult therapy and child/adolescent psychiatry under one roof, the facility allows families to receive treatment together. The expansion of services ensures that, in addition to infants and toddlers, primary school-aged children can also receive care.
