Asklepios Paulinen Klinik launches childbirth anxiety consultation
The Asklepios Paulinen Klinik in Wiesbaden has launched a specialized consultation service specifically designed to address childbirth anxiety. The program is aimed at pregnant women who feel insecure, have experienced traumatic births in the past, or fear medical interventions and pain.
During these sessions, specially qualified midwives provide a protected environment for patients to discuss their fears openly. The service includes providing information on the birthing process and developing individualized birth plans that respect the personal needs and boundaries of the parents. Accompanying persons are also welcome to participate in the consultations.
Dr. Christopher Wolf, head of the Clinic for Gynecology and Obstetrics, stated that childbirth anxiety is a central component of individual birth preparation rather than a marginal issue. The goal is to empower parents early on and provide them with a secure perspective for their upcoming delivery.
