Aslı Baş death investigation trial adjourned in Muğla

The trial regarding the 2010 death of model Aslı Baş in Bodrum, Muğla, has been postponed to January 21, 2027. The case involves the suspicious death of Baş, who fell from the terrace of a villa owned by businessman Ahmet Derya Bayer.

During the third hearing at the Muğla 1st Assize Court, defendants Volkan Bayer and Ahmet Derya Bayer appeared. Ahmet Derya Bayer requested exemption from attending future hearings due to upcoming surgeries and ongoing health issues; the court granted this request but mandated his presence for the session involving witness testimony.

A key factor in the delay is a pending forensic report from the National Criminal Bureau. The court is awaiting findings on whether deleted messages can be recovered from Baş’s mobile phone and SIM card. Additionally, the court must locate and hear a witness whose address has not yet been determined.
