Asl CN2 launches community health and breastfeeding awareness initiatives
The Asl CN2 health authority is expanding its ‘Salute in Piazza’ (Health in the Square) initiative to Sommariva Perno and Guarene. Following successful events in 27 municipalities across the Langhe and Roero regions, the program utilizes a mobile clinic to bring healthcare services, information, and healthy lifestyle promotion directly to citizens. Upcoming sessions include a meeting in Sommariva Perno on September 28 and in Guarene on October 2. The initiative also features ‘Ogni minuto conta!’ (Every minute counts!), a free program focused on first aid awareness, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation and the use of automated external defibrillators.
In conjunction with World Breastfeeding Week, the Bra Civic Library and Asl CN2 are organizing community events in Bra on October 2 and 3. These activities include reading sessions for children and parents, an information desk regarding breastfeeding for pregnant women and new parents, and an informative meeting titled ‘A network that supports: breastfeeding seen from different perspectives.’ This meeting will feature a multidisciplinary team of professionals, including educators, pediatric nurses, midwives, dietitians, and psychologists, to discuss breastfeeding and nutrition.
