Asl di Brindisi allocates 1.5 million euros for healthcare worker differentials

The Asl di Brindisi has announced the allocation of over 1.5 million euros for professionality economic differentials (Dep) for healthcare sector personnel. The funding is intended for 1,574 positions across various roles, including 1,157 health professionals and officials, 250 operators, 124 support staff, and 43 assistants.

While the announcement was initially met with enthusiasm, concerns have been raised regarding the selection criteria. Specifically, the ranking system awards one point for each year of professional experience at public health companies, but this is capped at a maximum of 25 years. Critics, including Maurizio Bruno, have expressed perplexity over how these criteria might penalize long-serving employees. The selection process also considers educational qualifications, master's degrees, and specific training courses.
