Asl di Brindisi workers face uncertainty over 10 million euro contract

Workers at the Asl di Brindisi are facing uncertainty regarding a cleaning and sanitation contract worth over 10 million euros, which is set to expire on October 31. Regional Councilor Luigi Caroli has called for clarification from Director General Stefano Rossi, warning of the risk of further extensions.

Caroli highlighted an anomaly in the Brindisi province, noting that while other Apulian Asls manage these services through Sanitaservice, Brindisi continues to rely on external outsourcing. He criticized the local administration for a management style based on subcontracts and direct assignments, urging the new director general to address the concerns raised by trade unions and the approximately 400 affected workers.
