ASL Lecce wins court ruling on departmental appointments

The Court of Lecce has ruled in favor of ASL Lecce regarding a legal challenge brought by a medical director. The plaintiff contested a 2023 resolution concerning departmental organization and the appointment of department directors, alleging that the restructuring violated regional regulations and that the appointment process was irregular.

The court rejected the plaintiff's requests for the annulment of the resolution, the right to appointment, and compensation for damages. The ruling noted that the plaintiff suffered no loss of salary or concrete possibility of obtaining the position. The court upheld the legitimacy of the agency's organizational choices and the discretionary nature of director appointments.
