Asl Teramo laboratory medicine wins awards at Sipmel congress

The laboratory medicine department of Asl Teramo received multiple honors at the 11th Sipmel national congress, held in Riva del Garda from October 26 to 28. The department, directed by Sofia Chiatamone Ranieri, was recognized for its research and diagnostic innovation, specifically regarding liquid biopsy in oncology.

Key achievements include winning the award for the best thesis in the 2026 young group category and securing second place in the Sipmel best poster category. The team also won an under-40 grant poster and contributed significantly to the scientific program through six oral presentations, three moderations, and the acceptance of seven additional posters.

Maurizio Di Giosia, the Director General of Asl Teramo, expressed pride in the results, stating that the recognition confirms the value and commitment of the professionals contributing to the growth of healthcare in the Teramo region.
