Asım Akansoy calls for probe after hospital worker's death

Asım Akansoy, a Member of Parliament for the Republican Turkish Party (CTP), has called for an immediate investigation following the death of Orhan Binici, a service worker at the Burhan Nalbantoğlu State Hospital.

Binici had worked at the hospital's neurology department for approximately 12 years through a subcontracting company. According to Akansoy, Binici was reportedly suspended from his duties on Friday via verbal instruction. After two days of silence, Binici's family discovered he had taken his own life.

Akansoy has questioned the legality and reasoning behind the decision to suspend a long-term employee and has urged the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Labor to address the situation. He emphasized the need to determine if there was negligence in the suspension process and called for greater oversight of subcontracting companies to ensure worker security.
