ASM International reports record Q3 revenue of €1.16 billion

ASM International, a semiconductor equipment manufacturer, reported record third-quarter revenue of €1.16 billion, representing a 45% increase year-on-year. The company stated that the growth was driven by the advanced logic and foundry market, including initial substantial contributions from 1.4-nanometer investments, alongside strong demand for memory chips.

Chief Executive Hichem M’Saad noted that the demand environment remains very strong due to the expansion of AI infrastructure. Based on these results, the company projected that 2027 revenue will exceed €5.7 billion, a milestone that would allow it to reach its 2030 revenue target three years ahead of schedule.

Financial metrics for the quarter included a gross margin of 52.0% and an operating profit of €378.9 million. The company also authorized a new share buyback program of up to €300 million.
