Asman Loliwu, corruption fugitive, apprehended in Palu
The Attorney General's Office (Kejaksaan Agung) Reform, Innovation, and Intelligence Task Force (SIRI), in collaboration with the Central Sulawesi High Prosecutor's Office and the Palu District Prosecutor's Office, has apprehended a corruption fugitive named Asman Loliwu.
Loliwu, a 72-year-old man, was captured on Thursday, September 10, 2026, in the Kawatuna Village, Mantikulore District, Palu City. He was a wanted individual (DPO) following a 2022 ruling by the Palu District Court, which found him guilty of corruption.
Loliwu was sentenced to six years in prison and a fine of Rp300,000,000. Additionally, he was ordered to pay Rp4,590,730,000 in state losses. Failure to pay the restitution would result in the seizure and auction of his assets or an additional 2.5-year prison sentence. The fugitive reportedly cooperated during his arrest and is currently being held by the Central Sulawesi High Prosecutor's Office.
