Asmara Abigail praises Malaysian food and public transport

Indonesian actress Asmara Abigail has expressed her fondness for Malaysia, describing the country as her second home while filming the historical fiction movie ‘Peluru Senja’. During a premiere event, the 34-year-old actress noted that she finds the Malaysian version of ayam gepuk, a dish originating from Indonesia, to be more delicious than the version in her home country.

Abigail also praised the infrastructure in Kuala Lumpur, specifically highlighting the ease of using public transportation. Coming from Jakarta, she expressed admiration for the city's walkability and transit options, stating she hopes similar improvements are implemented in Indonesia.

Regarding her role in ‘Peluru Senja’, which is set in 1948 Tanah Melayu, Abigail shared that her primary challenge was mastering the Pahang dialect. She credited Malaysian co-stars Hazman Al Idrus and Fabian Loo for assisting her with the linguistic nuances.
