Asmel launches 2026 maxi public hiring notice for over 1,000 Italian municipalities

The Association for Subsidiarity and Modernisation of Local Authorities (Asmel) has published a nationwide public hiring notice (maxi‑avviso) for 2026. The call, open from 15 September to 30 September 2026, invites applications from candidates for 39 professional profiles, ranging from technical engineers and architects to administrative collaborators, drivers and library staff. Applications must be submitted online through the Asmel platform using a certified email (PEC) and SPID or CIE authentication.

Candidates will first complete a 60‑minute multidisciplinary multiple‑choice quiz. Those who pass are placed on an eligibility list, valid for three years, which participating municipalities—more than 1,000 communes—can draw from to conduct simplified oral interviews and ultimately hire staff on permanent or fixed‑term contracts. Inclusion on the list does not guarantee a job, but it allows municipalities to streamline recruitment for a wide range of public‑sector positions.
