ASML to raise lithography component prices in South Korea by 10%
ASML, the world's largest semiconductor equipment supplier, will implement a uniform 10% price increase for replacement parts supplied to the South Korean market. The new pricing structure is set to take effect starting in January 2025 and covers all components for both Extreme Ultraviolet (EUV) and Deep Ultraviolet (DUV) lithography machines.
Following negotiations between ASML headquarters and the procurement departments of major clients Samsung Electronics and SK hynix, the price hike was finalized. The increase applies to both regularly purchased consumables and critical components required for repairs or performance maintenance, such as lenses, mirrors, and precision drive units.
ASML tracks its service, spare parts, and upgrade business separately from its machine sales. This segment accounted for approximately 8.2 billion euros in revenue last year, representing about 25% of the company's total revenue, with growth in this area expected to exceed 30% this year.
