ASND agency announces legal action against malicious comments targeting artists

ASND, the agency representing Red Velvet’s Wendy and the group fromis_9, has announced it will pursue legal action against individuals engaging in malicious online behavior. In an official statement released on August 19, the agency addressed ongoing issues involving slander, the spread of false information, defamation, and sexual harassment.

The agency specifically highlighted a rise in comments targeting the artists' physical appearances and bodies. ASND stated that sexually objectifying remarks, mocking physical features, and degrading evaluations of an artist's body do not constitute freedom of expression, but are instead clear acts of defamation that violate the artists' dignity and rights.

ASND confirmed it is actively collecting evidence of both identified and future malicious posts. The agency pledged to take strict legal measures to protect its artists, regardless of the severity of the infringement.
