Asobancaria honored by Colombian Congress at 60th Banking Convention

During the 60th Banking Convention, the Colombian Congress honored the Association of Banks and Financial Entities (Asobancaria) to commemorate its 90th anniversary. The Chamber of Representatives awarded the association the ‘Simón Bolívar’ Democracy Order in the rank of Cross Commander, while the Senate presented the Order of the Congress of Colombia in the rank of Commander.

The honors recognize Asobancaria’s historical contribution to macroeconomic stability, the modernization of payment infrastructures, and the promotion of financial inclusion. Additionally, the leadership of Executive President Jonathan Malagón was specifically commended for his role in the strategic transformation of the financial sector and his commitment to economic reactivation.
