Asobo Studio announces A Plague Tale prequel Resonance for 2026
Asobo Studio has announced Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy, the third installment in the A Plague Tale franchise, set for release in 2026. Unlike its predecessors, Innocence (2019) and Requiem (2022), this new entry functions as a prequel.
The story takes place fifteen years before the adventures of Amicia and Hugo de Rune. It shifts the focus to a new protagonist, Sophia (the Sea Scorpion), exploring her childhood and the origins of the threat facing the de Rune family. The narrative follows Sophia's experiences in a convent involving experimental procedures before she is rescued by her father, a leader of a group of raiders on the Italian coast.
