Asociación Bancaria agrees to 2.1% salary increase for July
The Asociación Bancaria and banking business chambers in Argentina have agreed to a 2.1% salary increase for July 2026, aligning with official inflation data. This adjustment brings the total initial gross salary for entry-level banking employees to 2,534,977.22 pesos, which includes a 71,219.54 peso profit-sharing (ROE) component.
This latest increase results in a cumulative salary improvement of 19.3% since December 2025, matching the inflation rate reported by INDEC. The agreement applies to all monthly gross remunerations, including both remunerative and non-remunerative concepts, as well as conventional and non-conventional additions.
Negotiations are set to continue through August using the same mechanism, with formal paritarias scheduled to resume in the second half of September. Additionally, a minimum bonus for Banker's Day in November has been set at 2,196,354.74 pesos, a figure subject to further adjustments in upcoming months.
