Asociación Bancaria announces salary increase for Argentine bank employees

The Asociación Bancaria has announced a 2.1% salary increase for July 2026 to help workers maintain purchasing power against inflation. This update applies to all gross monthly remunerations, including both remunerative and non-remunerative components.

As a result of this adjustment, the starting salary for new bank employees in July is expected to exceed $2,500,000 when including profit-sharing bonuses. Specifically, the base salary is approximately $2,463,354.74, which, when combined with a profit-sharing amount of $71,219.54, brings the total to roughly $2,534,977.22.

This latest increase brings the cumulative salary growth to 19.3% since December 2025. The union stated that the current update mechanism will continue through August, with new parity negotiations scheduled to resume during the second half of September 2026. Additionally, a minimum amount of $2,196,354.74 has been set for Banker's Day, which will be subject to future adjustments.
