Asociación de Esclerosis Múltiple León opens new care center in La Bañeza

The Asociación de Esclerosis Múltiple León has opened a new specialized care center in La Bañeza, located on the second floor of the Hogar del Jubilado. This facility aims to provide services to individuals with multiple sclerosis and other neurological pathologies in the city and its surrounding region, reducing the need for patients to travel to the capital, León.

The center offers a range of services, including physiotherapy, personal training, social counseling, and assistance with managing benefits and resources. It also provides telecare services specifically designed for individuals facing isolation. The staff includes a social educator, a telecare technician, and a physiotherapist.

Lorena López, president of the association, noted that the center serves over 60 members in the area. The local mayor, Javier Carrera de Blas, emphasized the importance of bringing specialized healthcare to rural environments.
