Asociación Forestal Argentina hosts industry summit in Posadas

The Asociación Forestal Argentina (AFoA) will host a high-level seminar in Posadas to commemorate its 80th anniversary. The event brings together top executives from companies such as Arauco, Acon Timber, Central Puerto, and Cambium Timber, alongside national government officials and representatives from the European Union.

The seminar's agenda focuses on the geopolitics of international trade and export opportunities for Argentine wood and cellulose. Key topics include the impact of the EU-Mercosur agreement, large-scale investments in the Northeast Argentina (NEA) region, carbon markets, and logistical challenges regarding the waterway. Enrico Prezio, First Secretary of the European Union in Argentina, is scheduled to discuss the regulatory framework and bilateral exchange perspectives.
