Asonahores and Travegali partner to boost accessible tourism in Dominican Republic

The Association of Hotels and Tourism of the Dominican Republic (Asonahores) and Travegali have signed a cooperation agreement to strengthen the development of accessible tourism in the country. The partnership aims to promote inclusive destinations, events, and experiences, expanding opportunities for travelers with various accessibility needs.

The agreement establishes a framework to identify and implement actions that ensure greater public participation in Asonahores-organized events by creating safe and accessible environments. Beyond specific events, the alliance seeks to ensure that investments in accessibility serve as a sustainable legacy for host cities, allowing them to market services to a broader demographic, including people with disabilities, senior citizens, large families, and travelers with reduced mobility.

Juan Bancalari, president of Asonahores, stated that advancing toward an accessible tourism offering is both a commitment to inclusion and an opportunity to increase the competitiveness of the Dominican Republic against international market demands.
