Asonahores launches 2026 tourism trade fair in Punta Cana
The Dominican Association of Hotels and Tourism (Asonahores) announced the 38th Commercial Exhibition, scheduled for September 2‑4, 2026 at BlueMall Punta Cana. More than 300 national and international exhibitors will showcase products and services across food and beverage, technology, financial services, furniture, kitchen equipment, energy solutions and other tourism‑related sectors.
The fair aims to strengthen commercial links between suppliers and the hotel industry, promote productive chaining, and generate new business opportunities for the Dominican economy. Organisers introduced digital tools such as an interactive web portal for stand selection, QR‑code accreditation and an optimized stand planogram to improve visitor experience.
President Juan Bancalari highlighted the need to boost the country’s production capacity, financing and logistics to meet tourism demand, stressing that tourism’s value lies in its ability to source locally, support communities and drive broader sector growth. Over 70 % of exhibition space had already been reserved at the time of the launch. The event is backed by the Ministry of Tourism and a range of sponsors including major banks, beverage producers and equipment suppliers.
