ASP 1 Teramo pays 50% of outstanding wages to 90 workers

An agreement between ASP 1 and Sanitalia has resulted in the payment of 50% of outstanding wages to approximately 90 workers. These funds, which were owed to staff employed by cooperatives operating within ASP 1 facilities in Teramo, were distributed earlier than the previously anticipated date.

The resolution follows a months-long dispute regarding irregular or partial salary payments that affected various socio-sanitary and assistance services across the Teramo province. The mediation involved ASP 1 Commissioner Roberto Canzio, the relevant cooperatives, and the UGL Salute Abruzzo union.

While this payment addresses a significant portion of the arrears, the labor situation is not yet fully normalized. Workers are still awaiting unpaid wages from August and their fourteenth-month bonuses. September salaries are expected to be paid around October 20.
