ASP Agrigento commissioner inspects emergency departments

Alessandro Delle Donne, the extraordinary commissioner of the ASP of Agrigento, has conducted technical inspections of emergency departments at the San Giovanni di Dio hospital in Agrigento and the Giovanni Paolo II hospital in Sciacca.

Accompanied by ASP health director Raffaele Elia and technical service director Alessandro Di Nolfo, the visits are part of a strategic monitoring initiative focused on the emergency-urgency sector. The goal is to directly verify service organization, access flows, operational conditions, and equipment, while consulting with medical professionals and patients.

In Agrigento, these efforts are part of a broader enhancement plan led by new management, which includes organizational changes and personnel updates, such as appointing Dr. Salvatore Gallo to lead the emergency department.
