ASP Messina launches online clinical report download service

The Azienda Sanitaria Provinciale (ASP) of Messina has launched a new digital service allowing patients to consult and download clinical laboratory analysis reports online. Users can access their results via a dedicated web portal using SPID or CIE credentials from computers, tablets, or smartphones.

This initiative aims to reduce physical visits to medical facilities, saving time for patients—particularly the elderly, fragile individuals, and those living far from medical centers—while decreasing wait times at service counters. The service is fully compliant with GDPR regulations and data protection guidelines.

Reports will remain available on the portal for 45 days, after which they can no longer be consulted. Users are advised to download and save their documents within this timeframe. Giuseppe Cuccì, General Director of ASP Messina, stated that the service is part of a broader digitalization path to improve healthcare accessibility and efficiency in the province.
