ASP of Agrigento launches pediatric vaccination campaign

The ASP of Agrigento has launched a new vaccination awareness campaign aimed at increasing immunization rates and addressing delays in pediatric vaccination schedules. To achieve this, the health agency has signed an agreement with the Italian Federation of Pediatricians (Federazione Italiana Medici Pediatri) and will involve local schools throughout the province.

The initiative, signed by Extraordinary Commissioner Alessandro Delle Donne and Provincial Secretary Paolo Felice, focuses on direct communication with families. The ASP will send specific notifications inviting parents to verify their children’s vaccination status and complete any missing doses.

By integrating healthcare services, pediatricians, and educational institutions, the strategic plan aims to create a more capillary information network. The ASP emphasizes that vaccination centers remain open to all families, regardless of whether they receive a specific notification, and offer counseling and information services alongside vaccine administration.
