ASP of Messina inaugurates new healthcare facilities in Sant’Agata di Militello and Mistretta
The Azienda Sanitaria Provinciale (ASP) of Messina has inaugurated two new healthcare facilities in the Nebrodi areas to strengthen the local territorial assistance network. These projects include the Hospital and Community Hub in Sant’Agata di Militello, as well as the restoration of the historic cloister at the San Salvatore Hospital in Mistretta.
Funded through the PNRR (National Recovery and Resilience Plan) under Mission 6: Health, these interventions are part of a broader effort to enhance local healthcare proximity. In Mistretta, the project involved seismic upgrading of the hospital and the restoration of a 16th-century monumental cloister, returning a significant historical and architectural space to public use.
The inaugurations were attended by local mayors, regional deputies, and representatives from institutional, law enforcement, and religious organizations.
